In an optical fiber, the inner core is _______ the cladding.

EXPLANATION

An optical fiber has two layers, the inner layer and the outer layer. The inner layer is called core. The data pass through a core. This core is made of dense of glass or plastic. The outer layer of a fiber is called cladding. It is also made of glass or plastic. Its glass or plastic is less dense.
Cladding is used in optical fiber for prevent any refraction while passing data. The function of cladding is to occur full internal reflection in optical fiber. That is why a cladding’s density is lower then core.

The inner core of an optical fiber is Glass or plastic

What is IRQ?

What is IRQ?

  • Internal Response Query
  • Internal Request Queue
  • Interrupt Request
  • Increased Raise Quantity
What is IRQ?

EXPLANATION

In a computer, an interrupt request is a hardware signal sent to the processor that temporarily stops a running program and allows a special program, an interrupt handler, to run instead. Hardware interrupts are used to handle events such as receiving data from a modem or network card, key presses, or mouse movements.

Such an input may be either "level sensitive" - the interrupt condition will persist as long as the input is active or "edge triggered" - an interrupt is signalled by a low-to-high or high-to-low transition on the input. Some processors have several interrupt request inputs allowing different priority interrupts

What is FIFO?

What is FIFO?

  • Foot Induced Foul Odor
  • Flow In, Flow Out
  • Fade In, Fade Out
  • First In, First Out
What is FIFO?

EXPLANATION

FIFO is an acronym for first in, first out, a method for organizing and manipulating a data buffer, where the oldest entry, or 'head' of the queue, is processed first. It is analogous to processing a queue with first-come, first-served behaviour: where the people leave the queue in the order in which they arrive.

What's an FDD?

What's an FDD?

  • Feature Driven Development
  • Floppy Disk Drive
  • Fault-Detection Drive
  • Fierce Donut Dependence
What's an FDD?

EXPLANATION

A floppy disk drive, also called FDD or FD for short, is a computer disk drive that enables a user to save data to removable diskettes. Although 8" disk drives were first made available in 1971, the first real disk drives used were the 5 1/4" floppy disk drives, which were later replaced with the 3 1/2" floppy disk drives.

By 2006 computers were rarely manufactured with installed floppy disk drives; 3 1 ⁄ 2-inch floppy disks can be used with an external USB floppy disk drive, but USB drives for 5 1 ⁄ 4-inch, 8-inch, and non-standard diskettes are rare to non-existent. These formats are usually handled by older equipment.

What's EPS?

What's EPS?

  • Essential Programs and Services
  • Express Print Station
  • Elephants Perform the Shake
  • Encapsulated PostScript

What's EPS?

EXPLANATION

Encapsulated PostScript is a DSC-conforming PostScript document with additional restrictions which is intended to be usable as a graphics file format. In other words, EPS files are more-or-less self-contained, reasonably predictable PostScript documents that describe an image or drawing and can be placed within another PostScript document.Wikipedia
Filename extension:eps.epsf.epsi
